You are just telling other customers here @Stu1- but what you need to do anyway is as you will have to contact Sky to give the required notice to leave why not ask them if there are any offers available to you, if there is you will need to make your mind up while on the call and this will mean you will need to accept a new contract. If there isn't then you can go ahead and put in your cancellation notice.

Its worth remembering that apart from the annual price increase in April for UK customers, if you don't change your subscription the only other increase should be a discount ending meaning you pay the full undiscounted price.

@Stu1- wrote:
So sky is a constant battle to keep there increases to a minimum now in the last few months my total bill has increased by around 30 pounds .so im going to be leaving when my contract ends next year because at 150 pounds a month is just an absolute joke.i wont be trying to get a better deal im just leaving . Has a minimum term come to a end and you are now paying list price. £30 increase it lot more than just the annual price increase. If you are still in minium term and not changed any thing, there may have been a discount that was not for the full period of your minium term and now finished it must be somthing like that. Look at present and past bills to see what changed. Sky only make on price increase a year and this years even if you had every thing would not amount to £30, so what has caused the increase is to do with your discounts in your package as described above. If you hav not made any other changes

I have been with sky for 20+ years and have had enough of there pricing.

As Dave says above, £30 doesn't sound like an annual price rise. Go to https://www.sky.com/bill/tv-broadband-talk (or through the MySky app) and see just what exactly you're paying for. If anything is no longer needed then some rolling monthly add-ons can be remove yourself, others you would need to contact them through the chat function. Obviously anything in minimum term can't be changed.

Watch out for upselling though, offering Cinema or Sports say which may put you on a new 24 month contract. Any current discounts may then end mid contract which is perhaps what has happened for you previously.
