    <description>&lt;P&gt;It failed when it shouldn't have as the money was taken then returned 3 days later, I've already called sky and they have agreed to credit £10 to the next bill after stating that they failed to try again and take the direct debit for a second attempt.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;My direct debit failed for my early April bill for Sky Stream, we were advised by the app a second attempt would be made to collect via Direct Debit in the coming days but this didn't happen and Sky earlier today cut the service off so I paid manually and have noticed a £10 late fee added to next month's bill, has the charge been added because of the original failed payment or because of this second attempt that didn't happen?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/4669571"&gt;@Tiddsa0&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;If you usually pay by &lt;STRONG&gt;Direct Debit &lt;/STRONG&gt;and the full payment fails on the normal payment date Sky will automatically attempt it again 10 calendar days later.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;After 10 days, if that second attempt also fails Sky may send a text and/or email notifying you that your payment has failed again and you then have a day or two at best before they restrict your services. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If I remember correctly from a previous post a late payment fee can be added if the original payment fails.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks for your reply, sky have failed on the promise of trying again at a second attempt at the direct debit as this didn't happen and I have had no communication from Sky about a late payment fee or communication a second attempt was tried, I was just going to make a manual payment after the original direct debit failed but the advice everywhere is don't do that as they will still take the direct debit ending up with sky taking 2 payments.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;We do warn that making a manual payment at any time other than when services are already restricted is unnecessary and will go towards the next months bill leaving the current months bill unpaid. Once your services are back up and running call Sky to discuss the apparent lack of a second attempt at the direct debit which should be automatic.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Was there about 10 days between the direct debit failing and your services being restricted as it might be that they did try again to take it and this was also not successful hence your services being restricted.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Edited to add: your Google search simply says the late fee is charged to your Sky account&amp;nbsp;after a second attempt fails, not that you're liable only if the second attempt fails.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
