topic Long term customers in Account & Billing

Ok so I have been with sky for almost 30 years. I currently have sky glass with a full subscription(movies/sports) multiroom with an additional 3 pucks upstairs and also broadband. My tv sub is £101 per month and broadband is £41 per month. Gave them a ring today to try to get a reduction/discount. Was told the only thing they could offer was a faster speed broadband for £39 per month. Am I the only person that thinks long term/loyal customers are not looked after.? New customers can get some great deals. I remember a few years ago you would phone sky and ask for discount and they would arrange better deals for you no questions asked. Seriously thinking about cancelling as the prices are getting ridiculous

@Austin1973

New customers are offered good discounts as an incentive to join. Most companies do this now. You probably took advantage of such a new customer deal when you first joined Sky.

If you can't negotiate an acceptable price for renewing then perhaps consider a move to an alternative provider, but in 18/24 months you'll be in the same position with them, and will be able to rejoin Sky if you wish and take up any new customer deals available at that time.

Yes , I get it , but surely long serving custmers should be better looked after no? Just seemed insulting that the best offer I was offered was £2 discount.

The fact that better discounts appear to be offered to new customers has been discussed on here many times. Comcast have laid their stall out and appear to prioritise getting new customers over retaining long standing ones. As other providers do this too it seems to be a common theme.
