Good afternoon ,

I would like to request to change the name of the sky account holder? I no longer live at the address and my ex husband already pays the bill but it remains in my name

Is this only for Sky Mobile? Sky don't allow such changes.

The account holder would need to cancel, return all loaned equipment then the remaining occupant subscribe in their own name.

Dose that mean as I am the account holder in our house. Should I die the account would be cancelled and my wife would have.to return all the loaned equipment before taking out an account in her name and as we have Sky Q, Sky having the expense of sending out a engineer to install exactly the the same equipment that my wife had returned at Skys expence.

No. Accounts can be transferred under limited circumstances (such as the one described).

So if I die she can get the transferred to her name but we will only get devorced that can t happen. May be Sky should start applying a bit of common sense in situations like this. It should only need be a paper exercise. Yes can can cancel the contract but instead of husband having to return the equipment which Sky will be paying postage charge to do and the expense of sending out a engineer to install exactly the same equipment retuned. A new contract should be taken out in husbands name with note put on the account that equipment is already installed as it only change of ownership due to change of domestic . Thus not on,y saving Sky the expense involved in the exercise, but avoiding the inconvenience to the subscriber and the loss of service while it going on.
