Yesterday I received an email purportedly from Sky It looks suspicious. The amount mentioned is suspicious. The fact that it invites me to click on a link is supicious. When I login to MySky (not using the email link!!!) I can find no crediting of my account with this compensation. It is correct that my order was delayed as the Sky engineer was not competent to do the installation and they had to get in an Openreach guy to do it. But I don't know how many of these they have sent out in the hope that a few are rellevant to be recipient They also got my name right but then most people's emails are on the dark web so that's nothing special. Does this look familiar to anyone. Thanks

That could well be an email from Sky as there is a compensation scheme for delayed activations so the question is how long was your broadband delayed for, was it about 7 days by any chance ?

You can read more about this here:

https://www.sky.com/help/articles/auto-compensation

The credit should appear on your billing acount once it has been applied.

@caesarome Thank you. Yes, the installation was delayed by 7 days exactly. Sky engineer came on Monday, took one look it and said, "I am not allowed to reuse a hole Openreach drilled and disable analogue kit they installed" "More than my jobs worth mate" So he went away and an Openreach (permie) cam the next week and a did brilliant job, very neat installation and did not need to drill any more holes . In that case I will wait a few days then I will phone Sky if it hasn't been credited. I am not letting £46 slide!
