With any calls from 'Sky' (especially unexpected calls) if the caller asks for your previously agreed telephone password to confirm you're the account holder (which I would expect a genuine Sky agent to do) initially give an INCORRECT one on purpose. If the caller doesn't challenge it then you know it'll likely be a scam call.

Hello, today I received a phone call [removed], saying it was from Sky Broadband, and was something to do with the switch over from copper to fibre. I couldn't wait to talk, so told her to phone back later. Suprisingly, I got another call from the same person. I told her I had done a search and the number used comes up as a scam. She said that they have been getting a lot of that. She said she is part of a special team set up to sign people up to move over to fibre. I said we are already on fibre for internet. She said that she could tell me details of my account as a way to confirm that she was from Sky, but I said I would have to check up on this first.

So can anyone tell me if this is a real, genuine, call from Sky, or is it a scam caller?

Thank You for any answers.
