Possibly. Any number can be spoofed.

With any calls from 'Sky' (especially unexpected calls) if the caller asks for your previously agreed telephone password to confirm you're the account holder (which I would expect a genuine Sky agent to do) initially give an INCORRECT one on purpose. If the caller doesn't challenge it then you know it'll likely be a scam call.

I've just been called by the 0800 number. I answered but there was a long delay before it connected. The Indian female asked to speak to me by my first name only. I asked who is calling, she said " it's sky", I asked "what's it regarding", she hung up ??

I think Sky's number has been spoofed. Any thoughts??

If that was a Sky call then before even talking to you they should have asked you for your telephone account password so if they didn't then it could well have been a scam call.
