Just got a missed call is it a sky scam

Missed the call they hung up as I answered! Calling my land line which only a couple of people actually know as I don't give it out? One being sky as they provide the land line. Google said it's a number related to a sky scam from a data leak? Is this true? Is this number a scam ? [removed]?

Not aware of any supposed data leak. Don't believe everything you see on Google.

With any calls from 'Sky' (especially unexpected calls) if the caller asks for your previously agreed telephone password to confirm you're the account holder (which I would expect a genuine Sky agent to do) initially give an INCORRECT one on purpose. If the caller doesn't challenge it then you know it'll likely be a scam call.

Hi @Clareloulou1 Scammers use autodiallers, your number has been dialled at random. I wouldn't take it personally. If it was a real call (extremely unlikely) they would try again. I have been a customer of Sky for approaching 40 years and have never had a genuine call from Sky. Why would they call?
