Someone using my refer a friend link

I've received an email from the Refer a Friend email address thanking me for referring Sky to someone called Rikki and that their vouchers will be arriving shortly. I don't know anyone with that name but Sky's response is to contact all my friends asking if they have used the link. It's crazy as I would have had to share the link for them to get the voucher! Has anyone else had the same experience?

Could one of the people you gave the link to then passed the link on to this person because if so then you would gain out of this as well wouldn't you ?

No I've checked with both of them and definitely hasn't been shared

Very odd then as they have clearly got hold of it somehow but you should also gain out of this.

To be on the safe side you could change your account password:

https://skyid.sky.com/resetpassword/

And also set up two step verification on your account, if you do this make sure you keep the recovery code somewhere safe as you will need this to turn this off should you need to change your mobile number the verification text goes to.

Have you found any resolve to this.

This has also happened to me by someone e.boustead. Stole all my referrals. It is really wierd as my sky interface had the pending rewards on and they have all disappeared. I recieved the email time to claim your reward by when I click claim it says it is sent to their email ! Sooo frustrating
