Despite price rises in April , I've now received another notification that there will be further increases in November to our Sky Signature TV package , with the rather confusing headline content saying "

Thank you for your continued loyalty. At Sky, it's our mission to bring you innovative new technology and great customer service, whilst giving you the best value for money. "

i am confused as I had thought the prices were annual in April - it seems rather unfair to have another price hike within the year. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm stuck in contract so can't leave - i had not anticipated another rise just yet.

That's why I'm so confused as I've never had a random price hike before. We've not made any changes. It's the sky signature package and it's rising by £3.30 from November with the only explanation being "

Thank you for your continued loyalty. At Sky, it's our mission to bring you innovative new technology and great customer service, whilst giving you the best value for money.

We're committed to keeping prices as low as we can but need to review our pricing from time to time. No action is needed from you, but you can find out about the changes below." There is then a table telling me that my Sky Signature is rising by £3.30 per month from 24th November.

Just reveived an email this afternoon to say my Ultimate package is rising by 3.10 in November thats 10% on what I was paying. The rest of the email is the same as quoted above by "Donr1"

No real explanation as to why.I am still in a discounted contract till April 2027.

Who knows why? or who do we contact to get an explanation.

That discount doesn't include a fixed price so for whatever reason (perhaps you didn't have an increase back in April on this year) it is the price prior to the discount that is increasing so the actual discount you have should remain the same.

Mine's also going up in November by £3.10, but I think that's because I recontracted in April, so avoided the price rise then.

I know what you're saying, but, my renewal increased my bill £4 when it was updated in April so I've already had an increase and now they want more yet I'm not getting anything better. Just more squeezing by companies to get money and then saying it like they're doing us a favour - that's the real kicker in all this "thanks for staying with us, now give us more money for having exactly what you had before"

Better discounts are offered to new customers as an incentive for them to join. Most providers do this.

If you choose to jump ship and go with another provider then in 18/24 months you'll be in the same position with that provider and if you want you'll be able to return to Sky as a new customer and gain the benefits available at that time.

I have just noticed my bill has increased by around £4 this month for Sky signature. I renewed my contract in April I was told no price rises until the annual increase in April 2026 I have discounts in place until April 2027 and I have had no notification of a price increase.

its a scam they get you to renew with assorts of discounts and promises and then randomly put up the price a few months later and the first you know is they have taken more from your bank. It's not acceptable and they need calling out for their underhand and dishonest tactics

The annual price rise occurs in April for all UK customers. If you join or renew around that period the proposed increase is usually deferred for 4-6 months and is then applied. It's kind of a grace period so you don't get hit by the price increase immediately. Your next increase (we have to assume there will be one) will be in April 2026.

Why are you being an apologist for sky's underhand tactics I thought this was an environment where you could discuss issues without bias it doesn't help resolve issues if you just come on and defend them. I said in my original post that they promised no price rises before April 2027 without that promise I wouldn't have renewed . They have reneged on that without notifying me of the increase (something else they are required to do but conveniently didn't) it is patently wrong that a direct debit is increased without notice but hey you defend them

i will submit a complaint and we will see who is correct here
