topic Early termination charges in Account & Billing

My contract for tv and broadband had expired. When at a sky store to look at offers to renew the sales assistant amended my broadband package without asking which triggered a new contract and unknown to me also altered the tv package which triggered a new contract. As far as I'm concerned my contacts had expired and I have now moved to virgin. Technically virgin gave notice to sky of my desire to leave within the cooling off period for these contracts but sky still want early termination charges. Should I have to pay for a contract I never asked for, agreed to or wanted?

One Touch Switching only applies to broadband and Talk so Virgin couldn't give Sky notice you were leaving a TV subscription.

Can't really comment about the renewal process that was carried out in store as only you and the store assistant know how the conversation went.
