I have been with Sky for 16 years, but I keep getting told I cannot reduce my spend because I am in contract. Then they finally agree to reduce my costs after I complain or they reduce my cost via upgrades. I have found I am bound by a 24 month contract despite telling them for 12 months I cannot afford it. &lt;P&gt;It's a little unclear from your post, are you saying Sky eventually allowed you to reduce your package but the 24 month period restarted? If so that's usually. &lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Unfortunately the latest T’s and C’s explicitly state you can’t cancel when still in a minimum term deal unless Sky agree. (If they agree you’ll have to pay the remainder of your discounted term).&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;When you initially signed up or renewed, your monthly discounted payments were calculated based on you agreeing to pay for the full term. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;On Sky's part they've agreed a discount on their standard price for you. On your part you commit to it for a fixed period.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
