I've had a message via WhatsApp today saying I can upgrade to full fibre broadband and that they've provisionally booked an engineer in for monday, my question is does this sound legit? I haven't responded because im unsure. The number ends in 4811 and they have my name and the last 4 digits of my postcode but I've rung sky and they cant tell me if it is or isn't legit apparently..

@LStannas89

We might also send you a text (SMS) or WhatsApp message if you’re eligible.

Message: “Hi it's Sky. Great news, [name]. Your home is now eligible for Full Fibre…”

https://www.sky.com/help/articles/full-fibre-broadband-at-no-extra-cost

Note that while there's certainly a legitimate campaign by Sky using both WhatsApp and text messaging, that doesn't mean clever scammers aren't exploiting it too.
