My DD was set up for the 27th of each month, ( payday ) so why has it gone 5 days earlier

The 27th this month is a Sunday so I wouldn't expect any payment to be processed until Monday at the earliest.

Have you recently changed the billing date?

We are all fellow customers on here like yourself, it is possible that it may be because the 27th of this month is on a Sunday, is this the first time this has happened ? But personally when my direct debit date is on a weekend my comes out a couple of days after

We're other customers here with no details of your account.

Without knowing these details it's difficult to comment, particularly if this is a need account or payment dates have been changed etc.
