If he didn't contact Sky to cancel the TV service then the service wouldn't have been cancelled.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Sky will only take money they think you owe them. Cancelling the DD without establishing why Sky are charging you could be disastrous. &lt;P&gt;If it transpires he didn't cancel properly then Sky are under no obligation to reimburse any of the additional payments. And if the cancellation is still to be done correctly he'll need to give 31 days notice so will probably incur another payment.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;If you are new to Sky then you are billed twice in your first month as your first bill covers the period from your activation up to the second bill and the second one covers the next 4 weeks as you can read about here under the "When you'll be charged for your first bills" section::&lt;/P&gt;
