      <description>&lt;P&gt;My sky package is now well in excess of £150 a month and I don't see the value in it anymore so today I contacted sky to cancel my sky subscription. I am the account holder.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;i went through security and was then asked for a password which I have no knowledge off (To my knowledge I have never been asked for a password previously) I was told that there was a flag on the account that meant without the password the sky operator could not get in. I asked if there was a way to reset it answer no.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So I am in a rather bizarre situation that I want to cancel my subscription but sky won't cancel because they can't get into my account, cancelling my DD will not cancel my subscription - any ideas&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Call Sky and when prompted for it say "forgotten it" or similar. Sky &lt;U&gt;should&lt;/U&gt;&amp;nbsp;be able to verify your identity as the account holder by other means and then set up a new telephone password with you.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Now that's sorted…&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;To cancel your TV subscription fully, if you’re out of contract you’ll need to give Sky the required 31 days notice. The latest T’s and C’s explicitly state you can’t cancel when still in a minimum term deal unless Sky agree. If they agree you’ll have to pay the remainder of your discounted term.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Select ‘Need more help’ at the bottom of the following link which will lead to contact details. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="https://www.sky.com/help/articles/cancel-sky-tv#contact-leave" target="_blank"&gt;https://www.sky.com/help/articles/cancel-sky-tv#contact-leave&lt;/A&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;(Make sure the flag in the bottom right corner is the correct one ie; UK or ROI).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;UK customer ~ &lt;/STRONG&gt;The link may include an email link and also a Message Us option (which is normally available between 9am and 7.30pm).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;ROI customer ~ &lt;/STRONG&gt; it’s only by calling Sky Ireland or writing in.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you successfully cancel you should receive an acknowledgment email from Sky. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you are cancelling Sky Q, return packaging will be sent out near the end of your notice period.
