So I have recently complained that I dont think my package is fair. That there are cheaper options. They told me yesterday that there was no cheaper package and closed the complaint. Today, however, advertised was a better package than mine that is cheaper. Has anyone had any luck in reducing the cost of their package?

If there is a cheaper package that has appeared then while it would be for new customers there is no halm in you trying to call Sky to see if they will put you on it.

It was a new customer offer and they refused to change my existing because I was "given an offer" when I joined. Which I didn't and certainly not at £35 a month with faster broadband. I think it's disgusting service.

Blimey you sound like an employee! I didn't get any such discount like they're offering with this. £15 a month cheaper with a faster package?! Id happily have paid the same as what I am now if they offered a faster broadband. That surely wouldn't cost them anymore but would have made me slightly happier!

Better discounts are offered to new customers as an incentive for them to join.

If you choose to jump ship and go with another provider then in 18/24 months you'll be in the same position with that provider and be able to return to Sky as a new customer.
