I got email from sky saying thank you for contacting us, I didn't. The email says I'm due a refund of 56 euro. My question please is this a scam. Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Did the email address you by your name or just "Dear customer "?

As you say it mentions euros are you actually based in the ROI?

Did it ask you to clink on a link in the email?

Hi Daniel thank you. It used my real name and didn't ask that I click a link. The part that freaked me a bit was saying thank you for contacting us when I hadn't made any contact

If the amount is showing as a credit on the account it'll be used towards your next bill. If it isn't I suggest you call Sky Ireland to clarify the authenticity of the email. Call today if necessary as to our knowledge Sky Ireland Customer Services aren't open over a weekend.

If you end up calling let us know the outcome.

Hi just rang sky customer service the email is genuine and I am due a refund happy days 😊
