Price increases - twice in one year?

I received an email on 16/02/25 indicating my Sky TV and Broadband prices would go up £7pm with effect from 01/05/25.

Today I have received another email indicating a price increase of £7.50pm from 01/07/25.

Am I correct in thinking that the price is therefore going to increase twice? The July increase is not in place of the May increase? So, it will be £14.50pm more expensive from July?

This would be due to the annual price rise which sees price increase each April.

The other one could be due a discount ending.

I have had the exact same thing, just tried to call them and ask why I've had a price increase twice this year and he didn't understand me which was helpful

Unless you’ve recently changed your subscription, prices increase due to either the annual price increase (April in the UK), your discounts have ended, or a combination of the two.

Sky will have told you the date any discount was ending when you took it out so if it has ended you’ll be paying the full undiscounted price.

Perhaps compare a previous bill to your latest bill and see where the amounts differ

If you’re no longer in a discounted minimum term, or its ending soon the best new discounts are normally acquired by calling Sky and negotiating or potentially amending your package which will now require a 24 month minimum term contract. Sky are not obliged to offer you another discount, and recent posts on here indicate that significant discounts are now harder to come by. If you’re offered something acceptable be prepared to agree to it there and then because if you decide to think about it the offer may no longer be available when you call back.

My discounts are still in place so surely if was increasing it in April I shouldn't be getting an increase again

Contract say, "During the minimum term, unless it is for a reason set out in condition 11.8 below (where the following
increase limits do not apply), we may increase the then standard price of each TV subscription service
only once in any 12 month period and the increase will not be more than 10% or the increase in the UK
Retail Price Index over the 12 months before we tell you about that price increase, whichever is greater"
