So, had the email regarding the increases in April. So called to ask the question, and was offered Ultrafast 500 for £32 month, Which appealed.

I'm Currently paying £32 for ultrafast 150, rising to £35 in April, then came the admin charges £20. After several calls, no movement on the charges.

I'm only in contract till November for all TV/BB services, so any potential saving was wiped out by admin charges.

Not the best responses this time, basically asked me if I want to cancel broadband. Not really, but frustratingly feel Sky are getting this wrong this time. I'd have took the offer without the admin charges, and pointing out that why would I pay them, when Sky are retaining my business for a further two years.

got that off my chest. 😬

That would be changing your current contract with about 9 months to go.

On an 18 month contract, which I assume that was (being 24 months contracts are relatively new to Sky customers) would be only half way into your contract or on a 24 month would still have about 1/3 to go.

Hence the £20 charge, for basically ending a contract much earlier than expected.

Usually, from what I have seen, Sky will let you do a contract renewal in a month to two months max before it ends, without any kind of admin charge.

That kind of admin charge has been around for a quite a few decades on Sky.
