I Was looking into switching to sky but didn’t but they have told my provider that I have and now they are cancelling my account but sky never even confirmed I was joining- please tell them I have no account with you!

What services is this in relation to mobile or broadband as Sky will not have told your provider you are leaving unless you placed an order so is this what is happened as I have a feeling you haven't said everything that has happened here.
