I received an email from . . . Sky < no-reply @ giftcloud.com telling me I had a £50 gift card. . I have been a Sky customer since November 2024 (less than 3 months) I received the email this morning. When I click on the email link it brings up the below URL that asks me for my name. is it genuine or is it a scam? Prior to today I had never heard of GiftCloud.

https://rewards.giftcloud.com/uk/delivery/

I called Sky to ask if this was genuine or a scam - the agent told me it was genuine then, after I told her I had never used GiftCloud, she told me it was definitely a scam.

I sent a message to hello @ giftcoud and I got a reply back from that email (i.e.) they had my email and the reply looked like it wsas done by an AI Bot - for example it spoke about being sorry that I was having trouble redeeming my gift and never spedicifically answer my direct question 'is this a scam'

If this is a scam it is very clever, if it is not I am rejecting a free £50 . . . . . . . what should I do?

I have just logged into my Sky account to try and send a secure message (question) to Sky and after trawling through pages of FAQ and AI verbiage there is no way of doing that, only a telephone number which (on past experience is a teeenager in the Phillipines).

I emailed Gift Cloud separately and seeminlgy securely and they replied that it IS genuine and it is from Sky . . . . the lady in the Phillipines says that it is NOT from Sky and I know I should not doubt her just because she is young and in a distant foreign country but . . . .

WHY can I not send a copy of this email to Sky and have them write back to me with answers?

I suspect the only way you might be able to achieve that is by sending a formal, written complaint, enclosing a copy of the email from GiftCloud.

I know i am way too late and it will have expired by now. But it is a legit company giftcloud offer company's incentives to switch to them as a provider. You do usually have to do it through a designated offer, then sky send the details to giftcloud to say hey yeah they joined us you can now distribute the voucher.

I myself am waiting for one for joining, and that is the email address it will come from 120 days after activation. It does expire after 90 days so I hope you claimed it. They wouldnt have contacted you if you weren't eligible.

I was just doing some preemptive research on how to redeem, mine is said to arrive within the next 5 days, and stumbled across this.

I have just received an email from MONY Group claiming I had a gift card through MoneySuperMarket (no recollection of expecting one). Hence I googled GiftCloud reviews to get here. However, I've clicked through and successfully downloaded a £25 Amazon voucher which has credited to my account. So it does seems to be genuine.
