I have tried to purchase Sky Essential on the £18 flexible package. But as a former customer I cannot get to the point of completion. Just going round and round.

Give Sky a ring. Probably easier. Their online systems don't like former customers signing up again via the web for some reason.

Note that 'Essential TV' and 'TV Essentials' are very different products, so it's important to be precise with the naming.

Essential TV is a limited range of Sky Subscription channels plus Netflix Standard with Adverts and Discovery+ on a Stream puck.

TV Essentials is free to air satellite channels plus recording/playback on a Q box.
