I received an unexpected cheque today from sky or someone claiming to be sky. Wasn't for a large amount but something about it feels fake, the customer ref isn't correct and the address is Scotland for sky. There is also a qr code on the actual chequ part which feels suspicious I've checked my sky account and there's no message about expecting a refund for anything

The only reason I can think of that Sky would send a cheque is if you were to leave Sky, cancel your payment method and that there was an outstanding amount on the account that needs to be refunded because under these circumstances they would send out a cheque.
