Offer only for new subscribers..now £19..Im paying £28! (Was £31!)

Is it fair?

Black Friday..£19...??

That's penalising existing loyal subscribers...who are in their 24m contract at considerably higher monthly subscription costs!.. In my case..its a difference of an extra £9 every month...totalling £162...over my remaining contract!!

Why do Sky keep doing this?

Is it a case of "lump it..because you're stuck in your contract..ha ha."...??

Whenever you joined Sky you would have signed up to whatever offer was available at the time that would not have applied to those that were existing customers as these prices are designed to attract new customers.

Offers come and go, presumably dependent on Sky's need to attract new customers. It's never a good idea to look at offers currently available to new customers when you're already in contract - it'sa recipe for discontent!

I imagine you thought the deal you signed up to was fair when you agreed to it, otherwise you wouldn't have gone ahead.

The aim is to attract new customers, of course.

Not only do all providers in this industry do it, its pretty standard across the utility industry.

Unless it states in contract you agreed that there may be a price increase they can't increase your package until the date ended, check your agreement
If it does not say that and why have increased witout informing you the contract is invalid as a breach contract
