A few days ago I costed a SKYQ @ 18 months for Q, HD and Netflix Standard it was £44.50

Funnily enough did it today and it's (wait for it) 24 months @ £44.50 and even funnier you seem to not be able to revert to 18 months..

Bit of a joke.

A 24 month minimum term is now standard. There's no reason it should be cheaper than 18 months: it's a subscription to an ongoing service, not paying off a lump sum.

Note that Sky Glass is different: taking the 48 month loan repayment term rather than 24 month significantly reduces the monthly cost (but of course the same total is repaid overall)

Yes i forgot that sky aren't interesting in customer loyality etc.....

I so hope my Now TV will continue to work in my new house, as I will only have 8-10Mbs there.

No way I want to commit to 24 months are that price.

Well good luck with that as of the ones available to us, Sky, Now, Plusnet, BT, Vodafone, Onestream & some small player I've never heard of are all 24 month contracts now with presumably mid-contract price rises. And that's just the ones available here.

Edit: this is for broadband only.

My broadband is with BT anyway, I just hope it will be fast enough to stream NOW as that's what I use.

The Q was a backup but not on those terms.
