topic Notice Period in Account & Billing

I cancelled my Sky Tv package on 1st June, knowing I'd need to pay for the notice period. I also expected to receive the services that I pay for for the full notice period, however, several HD Channels, Discovery+ and Sky Box Sets were no longer available once I cancelled. Is this the norm?

I spent 90 minutes today on the Chat Bot, Online Messaging, then conversing with two separate departments, only to be none the wiser! The online messenger guy said I should receive all services for the notice period, then a lady in another department at first told me I shouldn't, then when I questioned this was told 'Well that's what I've been told and I can only tell you what I've been told!'.

I'm awaiting a call back from her Manager who will hopefully be able to assist further but wondered if any of you helpful people know the answer.

The notice period to cancel Sky TV is 31 days during which all content should still be available to you as normal. Hopefully if you do receive a call back then it can be fixed but if not you are getting near to your final day with Sky for your TV service so it might not be sorted,

@John319 you won't be able to keep your Sky Q box once your subscription ends. It wouldn't make any difference in any event, as you need a Sky subscription to be able to view your recordings.

It would be a mistake to cancel your direct debit. It's quite likely that you'll be billed, as normal, for the next month in advance during your notice period. That may mean you initially pay for a period after your cancellation date. That's normal, not a mistake, and Sky will refund any overpayment beyond the date your services actually end. However, if you cancel your direct, Sky will pursue for for repayment of the amount outstanding relating to this bill.
