Difficulty getting red button on soccer channel working properly

Lately have had probs with red button. Example last night tried watching Man Cty v Norwich but the side screen kept coming up with tennis which was being played. Eventually getting up but it showed the score as nil nil when side screen showed 2 nil. Eventually got the right picture but when trying to use full screen it froze! I gave up after that. Earlier in the week wanted to watch West Ham via red button which should have been on - nothing! Next day grandson came round and said he was watching ok. Is there anyway I can reset box or do I have to have it replaced - Thanks I'm an OAP

Sky Plus does not have the sports red button!

Please answer the following question so that your thread can be moved to the correct place, where you're more likely to get help with your query

Which Sky TV Service do you have?

Sky Q (Satellite box)
Sky Glass (Internet TV)
Sky Stream (Internet box)

You don't have Sky+ (where you've posted).

If you have Sky Q, if you have the side bar showing whilst watching red button content just press the dismiss button a couple of times on the handset and the full screen will be displayed.

If you select "sport" on on main menu on the left of screen the Home page of your sky Q box and then select " Football" from that menu on the left of screen, you can then select the match you want watch and it comes up full screen ( no side bar) from there. I know that because that way we select, it it a lot easier to me than trying to use the red button on the sky sports + channel

Hello people - Many thanks for your help. I'm a 89 yr old not too familiar with gadgets etc, and just out of hospital. Done an update on software which I have never done before! Everything seems to be working now and fingers crossed should be ok.
