Sky Q remote not working.

My Sky Q remote has stopped working. The only thing it can do is switch the mini box on and off. I have rebooted the main Sky Q box. I have pressed buttons 7 and 9 to uncouple the remote. I got 4 flashes on the remote. When I pressed 1 and 3 however I got 17 flashes. I've tried several times but without success. The remote is still not working. Any suggestions would be very welcome.

If you are new to the forum then welcome to the Community which is predominantly made up of Sky customers helping other Sky customers. You aren’t actually talking to Sky by posting on here.

If you follow this link it’ll eventually send you to a form to request a replacement (I’m not sure if this applies to customers in the Republic of Ireland).

It may be quicker to purchase a new remote from a retailer / larger supermarket.

While your waiting, if you have an android or Apple device with Sky Go you can possibly set up a virtual remote to control your Sky Q box. See this link which may help
