Sky Q activation

I cancelled my Sky account (after being a customer of over 27 years) and moved to EE. After a week decided that was a huge mistake, and asked Sky to reactivate my Sky Q account (we still had all the kit as we hadnt yet received the boxes to return). This was on Saturday (1st August). Everything was agreed, and I stated that we do not need an engineer. How long does it normally take for them to normally activate Sky Q? When I look at my account on line, it states that the engineer has been delayed...twice so far I have used the chat to state that we do not need an engineer and it shows no date in the "scheduled to go live date". Surely it shouldnt be taking this long...or am I just be impatient?

They just need to send a signal to your box which reactivates the viewing card.

Probably best to call them as it sounds like something's gone a bit wrong somewhere.

In the end I made a complaint - 15 minutes it was all up and running...funny that! Next question though, should my bill reflect the activation date, not the date I asked them to re-instate my Sky Q? For example my next predicted bill is showing 'Sky Signature - 18 day Period covered:1st August-18th August'. The 1st is the date that I asked them to re-instate my Sky, but it wasnt actually activated/viewable until the 3rd. So should it be 16 days?
