SKY Q wont awake from remote

Hi all,

My SKY Q box has started to play up after about 5 years of being all good. Every day it won't awake from the remote until I power it off and on again at the wall. Was fine until this week and nothing in the house has changed.

When you say it won't wake up, does the TV screen show anything at all? Perhaps a black screen only? Will it wake up using the button on the front or perhaps from the TVs home screen?

sHi, sorry I ment to say its the small box, one in the loft. When I turn the TV, normally we get the "No HDMI" message, we press the home button on the remote and it all comes on. This last week its not coming on with the home button. We have to cycle the power with the plug in the back bedroom and it restarts. Sometimes two, we have been watching TV and say 10 mins in, it turns off on its own and wont come back on unless we cycle the power.

Hi,

Thanks for that, as of this morning, the mini box will not wake at all. I have switched the power on and off a few times, it gets to the "Press home button when screen goes black" message, it goes off then nothing.
