Want to talk about mini boxes

I have 1 main sky Q box and 3 mini boxes because I have a 3 bedroom house but 1 person cannot watch there box as we all like to watch different things but someone has said that if I speak to sky they can help and do something so we can all watch our mini boxes at the same time

Sky will loan you a maximum of 4 mini boxes. You can watch Sky content on two minis and the main box at the same time. You may be able to use a third mini box if the first one in use is being used for a streaming app ie: Disney+. That limit does not change if the main Sky Q box is not being viewed. Remember that UHD content can’t be viewed on a mini box.

The original 1TB (non-UHD) Sky Q box only allows one mini to be in use. To check if you have the non UHD 1TB box check in:-
Home - Settings - System Info - Hardware Version
If it shows as 32Cxxx then you have a non UHD 1TB that only supports 1 active mini box.

All 2TBs and the UHD/HDR 1TB permit two mini boxes. Each mini box which is loaned to you may be subject to a one off upfront charge but you only need one monthly Multiscreen subscription.

As said with Sky Q though you can have 4 mini box you can only watch Sky programming on two at the same time. If wanted the ability to to watch 3 at the same time is to change to Sky stream which works though your broadband rather than via satellite dish that skQ dose. So the quality of service depends on how good broadband speed ect you have. You also need a whole home subscription which is Sky stream's equivalent to multiroom, however on Sky stream you can watch up 6 boxes at the same time if your broadband is good enough to support that.

Perhaps also note that as you'll already have a Multiscreen subscription (in order to use the Mini boxes) you could also put Sky Go on games consoles and/or Apple TV boxes.
