Hi

Many thanks for your response. It makes you wounder why Sky does not make customers aware BEFORE they upgrade.

I'll ask Sky directly for a solution as I'm paying extra for the two mini boxes but unable to watch anything.

Thanks again.

Hi

I've recently upgraded to Sky Max and I have connection issues with the existing Multi Room devices.

The TV for the multroom work for about 10 mins and then lose connection. I've reset the new router and followed the instructions many times over, but each time it works for a short period before losing connection.

I also have a booster that came with the upgrade which has been connected as recommended, and this appears to work.

Why it loses connection after a short time with the multiroom TVs is the issue.

Any help would be appreciated.

Unfortunately the SKY Max routers are treated by SKY Q as 3rd party routers.

This means that the Q minis will no longer connect to your home wifi but instead connect to a wifi signal generated by the Main box (The Main box no longers forms part of your home mesh)

this also means that mini will not connect to any boosters that come with the SKKY wifi Max

Are you able to connect the Q boxes via ethernet ?

You may be able to ask SKY for a SKY Q specific booster
