Many thanks, Me134, for your prompt reply; very much appreciated. I’ll certainly change the settings on my Sky Q box that you suggest and which, I’m sure, will cure this extremely annoying problem. Thanks again for your help.

I have a Sky Q box and a new Linksys router provided by Gigaclear, my broadband provider, that are all part of a mesh network. Watching live tv isn’t a problem but very often when I’m streaming something, say, on Netflix, the picture ‘freezes’ but will then start again a little while later. Occasionally, I sometimes get a message saying I’ve lost the internet connection, which isn’t true as it’s still available with a download speed of over 120 Mbps in the vicinity of the Sky Q box. Has anyone else experienced similar problems and, if so, is there any way of solving it?

You then need to go to Settings > Setup > Network on the Sky Q box. Select Reset Network and confirm. When prompted, choose Connect wired to non-Sky Router.

Once that's done you need to access the hidden engineer menu to turn off the Q box WiFi.

Hover over Settings (do not press select).

Press 001 then Select on your remote.

Go to Network and turn both 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless to OFF.

Select Confirm.
