It's a very different experience which doesn't suit everyone, particularly those used to recording, so do some research before committing. It relies entirely on you providing a fast and stable broadband connection to function.

Depending on what you watch, you can choose from a variety of streamed TV services which are available, all of which use your broadband connection to receive programmes. Some are subscription based, some are free. Have a look at Freely, EETV and Virgin, all of which offer streaming options.

We aim to move to a new home in a couple of months. The apartment is part of a listed building with no satellite dish and no possibility of installing one.

We have had Sky Q since it was launched and are very happy with it and would very much like to continue with it.

What is available with no chance of connecting to satellite?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Unfortunately nothing: Sky chose to specify that the UK version of Q requires reception of a periodic keep-alive satellite signal to maintain any functionality at all.

This is technically unnecessary: Italy has had Q without a dish for years and it was intended for UK launch before being overtaken by the bidding war which ended with acquisition by Comcast and the subsequent shift to Glass/Stream.
