      <title>Sky box finding no internet connection at about 11.115 every ight</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Every night about 11.15pm our Sky Q box can't find the Internet, so we can't watch any apps etc after this time, even though it says it's connected to the router and can find the IP address. We keep trying to reconnect, putting in the password and it is having none of it! Everything else is finding the Internet, phones, laptop and PlayStation, but apparently the sky box can't. We have done everything it says, but to no avail. We are paying over £100 per month and now for the last couple of weeks, we don't have full access! Was all working fine, no problems and now this!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This is now taking the p. And we have had enough.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Anyone have any answers please asap, or we will definitely be binning Sky!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Sometimes, and this is rare, an electronic device on a timer like an immersion heater or something can cause interference that upsets wifi on a regular schedule.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;if you're not on sky broadband you're using 2.4GHz wifi only and other devices are likely using 5GHz happily, plus Sky Q's wifi is twitchier than anything else.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Unfortunately that's also likely to be something which it's very difficult for Sky to identify and then do anything about.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;In the past, badly shielded or failing electric motors have been noted as a culprit: hence the reference to an immersion heater.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Nothing has changed here or around here in the last couple of weeks. My partner is a telecoms engineer, and has been for 30+ years, dealing with Internet also.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The speed doesn't drop, he has also checked a majority of other reasons why and nothing.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;All we have done in the last 2 months is renew our Internet with another provider, which was fine originally, no problems,&amp;nbsp; until a couple of weeks ago&lt;/P&gt;</description>

As of now, my phone is using the Internet fine, as I'm on this site, and yet again, the apps, etc are saying no Internet connection, so what we were watching on Netflix, we can't.       <description>&lt;P&gt;A speed tester running on what? Because if it's on a modern phone it's almost certainly using 5GHz. As I said in my first response, it might not be affected in the same way as the Q's 2.4GHz connection. E.g. (&lt;A href="https://www.reddit.com/r/HomeNetworking/comments/198bh2w/constant_major_interference_on_24ghz/?rdt=39641" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;this is not Q but discusses the principle&lt;/A&gt;)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Normally I would say this is just Q being its usual rubbish self with wifi and as above maybe recommend trying ethernet or powerline adapters, but the time aspect here points maybe in a different direction.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Maybe, but don't really want cables around&amp;nbsp; and shouldn't have to, as it was fine until a couple of weeks ago.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Earlier this evening I went onto My Sky and it said there was a technical issue and they knew about and were looking to fix it, when the apps etc were working fine and Internet connection was working? None of this makes any sense. We are paying over a thousand pounds a year, and tbh its not acceptable&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;On a laptop connected to the Internet at the time when Sky says no Internet connection.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Its not good enough really. We are paying over a thousand pounds a year for subscriptions and it shouldnt happen. If its not sorted, we decided we will be leaving Sky, which a shame as been with them for so many years and never had this before&lt;/P&gt;</description>
