TNT Sports is a £30 pcm subscription: it is very unlikely to ever have been free.

It's definitely not included with the £4.99 lowest HBO Max tier bundled with Sky.

I have the same problem , used to watch champions league on Discovery + despite not having a TNT subscription assumed this was a great freeby from Sky because of the large amount I pay for movies, sport etc. HBO Max launched to a great fanfare taking the football coverage from Discovery + and I now find it's not included in the basic HBO Max package ? Looks like a case of more money taken for less access 🤨

Without this subscription like HBO max app the free service though Sky was limited to entertainment. If for some reason you did managed to get free access to the sport via discovery plus it must have just been a quirk in the system. No if you do not have a TNT subscription though Sky you will not able view.tnt sport on hbo Max you will just get the basic entertainment with ads.

However now if you want it you will have to subscribe to tnt package and no it not a case of more money taken for less as the access to tnt sport on hbo max as is available on the same terms it was always available on discovery plus. Just you were just lucky have got it free because of glitch in the system.

Just spoke to Sky 🫣 they confirmed I shouldn't have been able to view Champions league/Football on Discovery + and couldn't explain how I viewed for months without a TNT subscription. This unfortunately means no Champions league matches on HBO Max unless paying £30 a month for a TNT subscription. This on top of my Sky subscription ever increasing is a bit to much 🤨

When I was contacted by sky to rejoin them, they offered me this amazing deal for 24 months, this included TNT sports through discovery plus and was the reason I agreed to rejoin as I was paying 30 pounds a month with another provider originally.

I also am unable to watch it now it's switched to HBO max.

It's totally frustrating as was the most important part of the package as saved me a lot of money!

I didn't have a subscription for TNT sports either.

This is a shambles. They need to enable TNT on HBO if that's what was offered.

Unfortunately I have completely lost faith in Sky. It took me a month to sort out a contract that was miss sold. Around 5-6 hours of many, many phone calls. Many promises to resolve, two escalations and it still wasnt sorted out. I had to cancel the new contract before they actually did anything.
They love telling me that I'm a gold member and thanking me for my loyalty but I wish they would thank me by doing what they promised. I've never had experienced such a poor, incompetent service from Sky. I don't know what happened but I'm not impressed any more.

I agree and I can't actually see the point of HBO Max other than The Pit they seem to have decimated other Sky channels for programmes to populate it then have the ordacity to say it's a subscription included to justify the latest price rise 🤔

Because as from Autumn 2027 when that season starts TNT sports will no longer have the rights to show Champions league they have been bought by Paramount plus and though at present the Paramount plus only has entertainment at basic subscription of £4,99 I doubt when they start showing Champions league that subscription will not allow viewing of it, and like Discovery plus and now HBO max there will probably be a extra charge to watch it Not sure how much that will be at the moment. True Prime Vidio show Champion league on there there subscription without extra cost.

This WILL change yet again once paramount's takeover of tnt sports is complete the rights will most probably stay where there are just under a different name

EFA

However not sure even the name will change as Warner will own paramount plus who have right therefore as paramount plus owners warners actully own the rights. So they might decide to keep out of champions league on tnt sport and HBO max. They might e en just take all of paramout plus content and put on HBO max and close the paramount plus service.

The Paramount+ app is years behind other streaming apps in quality, stabilty and features, and certainly it's worse that the HBO Max app. If of the two, HBO Max was closed and Paramount+ remained, that would be unjust.

This on top of my Sky subscription ever increasing is a bit to much

Given how much they fork out to UEFA for broadcast rights, I strongly suspect that Warner Bros Discovery Ltd would rather prefer viewers to be paying ; )

I got news for you even if you had TNT sport subscription either with Sky or direct with HBO max you will only be able to watch Champions league football ball on TNT sport for the rest on this season and the next. But that is only one match week on a Tuesday, not the amount that TNT sports show I would very much doubt if you would get that amount Champion / Europer league for £4,99 a month.

@DaveDrizen This may change yet again once paramount's takeover of tnt sports is complete the rights will most probably stay where there are just under a different name

If it gets completed.
