Trouble is when you speak to HBO even with the partner ID, they say there's nothing they can do despite what Sky say on this page

HBO max and tnt access split across 2 usernames

I'm a sky q customer but historically have had access to TNT sports ( via discovery app) as part of my BT account. These 2 accounts use different email addresses. In the transition to hbo max, I initially set up the tnt sports side, and could access tnt sports, but all the hbo content was unavailable to me. I then set up the hbo content via my sky remote, (had to set up a different username as it's via a different email address) and now I can access the hbo content but not tnt through that particular username. So can I combine these accounts somehow or do I have to keep switching accounts to see either tnt or hbo content? Thanks for any pointers

I have a similar issue, and that doesn't work as the TNT email already exists so you can't change the sky account to that email.

Exactly this, historically the sky and bt/tnt have been provided via differing accounts linked to differing email addresses. So you can't just change one user id to the other.
