My volume buttons have stopped working on my sky q remote. All others are fine

The volume buttons on my remote have completely stopped working. All others functions are fine just these. How do I get a new remote

Hi @Perkyp

Have you tried completly resetting your Bluetooth remote.
Press and hold 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then make sure that you are pointing your remote at the Q box and press 1 & 3 together until the remote led flashes and follow onscreen instructions to re- pair.

I tried this as I know it works via signal so made sure there was nothing in the way when doing this. Have tried this more than once. Like I say all other buttons work fine. It's just the volume

In the meantime if you have an Apple device with Sky Go you can set up a virtual remote to control your Q boxes.

All other buttons use bluetooth. Only the volume uses IR (I think you meant that when you said "signal"?) to the TV and the reset you tried should have re-configured the remote with the IR codes for your TV so maybe its IR transmitter is faulty.

does holding down the power button turn the TV on and off? That uses IR too.

Mine did the same with my Samsung tv, you need to re program your remote to your tv in sky q settings.

After checking the basics, ie; fresh batteries, re-pairing etc if your Sky Q remote is definitely broken/faulty, if you follow this link it should allow you to do some more troubleshooting and then it’ll send you to a form to request a replacement (I’m not sure if this is available to customers in the Republic of Ireland).

It may be quicker to purchase a new remote from a retailer / larger supermarket. If you do that as well as the above you’ll have a spare.
