I have just had sky Q installed along with a mini sky Q box in our bedroom we are having issues with disconnecting re HDMI and no signal. It just goes off but checking we are getting a signal via the Ariel there seems to be no rhyme or reason

I doubt it's the HDMI which is disconnecting. Probably the wifi connection from the mini to the Q? Which obviously doesn't affect the aerial connection (neither does HDMI) which is why that still works fine. Plenty of reasoning involved 😉

You might be able to get a Q Booster out of Sky but you'll have to call them.

otherwise try some powerline adapters instead of wifi. That involves, once physically connected, setting the networking up again on the mini to use ethernet instead of wifi.

I use these ones

Hi @Possy1

First make sure that the Television is switched on and is switched to the HDMI input to which the mini box is connected.
Then with the mini box switched on with green led illuminated
Press
Home 1 0 8 0 Home
on the mini box remote control.

This will change the mini box to standard resolution which will work for all TV’s.
