Yes they do I'm afraid.

Also there is a monthly charge for UHD add on

Thanks, yeah i know there is an extra subscription to uhd but begrudge paying extra for an upgraded box when i dont even own it

Remember all Q boxes are only loaned to you for the duration of your subscriptions. (The £99 to swap is an admin charge only and you aren't paying for the box as such)

EDIT: our posts crossed - but by all means call Sky and see if you can negotiate a better price...

You'd have forgotten all about that admin fee by now if you'd just done it first time and bathed in the uhd / hdr glory ever since
