The usual process is to take your own Q box and the engineer ensures the dish is setup with it. Not sure why you've had that message but best to confirm directly with Sky.

Hi,

I'm moving at the end of the month, and just set up the house move. But I got a text saying a courier will confirm my Sky Q delivery date and to remove the viewing card. I don't want to get a new box, as my current box has recordings on it that I was supposed to watch with my Mom. She passed in July and I haven't found it within myself to watch them yet. And I don't want to lose those recordings.

So I was wondering if there is any way I would be able to keep my current Sky Q box instead of getting a new one?

Thank you in advance

@smchugh84 sounds as though they want to do a doorstep swap which really isn't necessary when doing a home move if you cannot contact Sky when DPD turn up with a new box you can always refuse to take delivery of it and they will return it to Sky .

This has been reported before Sky sending new Q boxes for a home move for no reason
