RANDOM RECORDINGS

My SKY box is recording completely random programmes unprompted and unshceduled. Why is it doing this and how do I stop it? Today an episode of I'M A CELEBRITY GET ME OUT OF HERE arrived on my planner, which was the last straw !!! Help 😉

Recordings can only really be scheduled if someone presses the record button on the remote control or via the Sky Go app.

Recordings can also happen if you recorded a series last year, the series link should pick things up when the next series comes up.

You can check what's scheduled for future recording by going into Recordings and then Scheduled. From there, you will be able to remove a series link for anything you don't want to continue with and cancel the actual recording.

Its up to you to find out who in your household is scheduling these recordings I'm afraid.

I've had it happen as well although rarely. I'd asked my wife as well who has denied all knowledge.

It may be a change in the programme schedule on the epg and instead of recording something you've set up, it records the newly inserted programme.

Theres not really a lot you can do about it I'm afraid.

Do you have a pet?
Our cat will often press the remote & recently set a program to record & set the series link, he's only stretching.
