Optical cable from sky box where should it be connected to ,sound bar or tv, asim having trouble synch up the sound many thanks

hi @Phil257

the optical connection on a TV is only output so connecting an optical cable from the KSY box should not go to the TV & should be connected to the Sound Bar.

Connecting SKY Q to the Sound bar usually gives few problems with lip synch but it depends on the TV

If your TV has apps that you use & your TV can pass through the bitstream signal from SKY Q you may be better connecting the optical out from the TV to your Sound bar, as then you can use the sound bar for both the TV Apps (& DTT if you have HD channels) but this can be more risky from a sound sync perspective from SKY Q
