Have they provided an explanation for that?

Q support from Sky, including 'engineer' visits, is still comprehensive even though it's no longer the flagship product.

The only significant exception is where Q hardware is running on a communal satellite signal distribution, which Sky has never supported as far as the dish.

I live in an apartment block so sky are saying that it's probably someone has latched onto my dish, funny though cos when the engineer set me up last year he didn't bring a dish so he must of latched me onto someone else's 🤔

@CarolineBolger Do you have a twin satellite cable feed emerging through the outside wall of your flat, or do you have a single cable connecting your Sky Q receiver to a wall mounted communal faceplate which is usually on an inner wall.

If your Q box is using a communal satellite signal distribution system then unfortunately Sky are correct in denying responsibility for reception issues: that's the remit of whoever the building management has contracted to maintain the system (and is the most likely explanation for your prolonged issues)

@CarolineBolger To confirm whether you are being fed from a communal IRS distribution, in order to allow us to provide accurate advice on what course of action is required to restore your Sky Q reception.

Does the satellite transponder signal connected to your Sky Q receiver use ONE or TWO coaxial cables.

Because, if a communal satellite dish is correctly installed and maintained, only a very heavy local cloudburst should effect your reception, and then for just a few minutes, once or twice a year.
