Has the issue with black screen on sky sports been sorted . Happened in Northern Ireland as well. Sky say there is no problem but happening on sky q main box and mini box in another room

Anybody else having issues with the screen going black on Sky cricket channel. Turn it on and within 10 seconds it goes to a blank black screen with no sound, if I change the channel then go back to the cricket channel it's back on. I have reset the box and still happening ?

same with me - i went to sky sports app and am watching via that , its with alternate commentary , not an issue here for the video feed

Hi @Steviep1 I am not aware of any issues with Sky Sports, apart from the cricket WWC final. What exactly are you asking to be sorted?

I asked the same question.While watching live sport yesterday on Sky Q, 02/11/25 screen would often go black. If you drop down a programme and then go back it would come back on. This happened on 405 (World Cup cricket) and later on 412 and 416 Live NFL. Nobody seems to be talking about it on the Sky forum but on facebook and reddit loads of people are complaining about it with no apparent sollutions apart from the usual turn off for two minutes and let it reboot. Some have commented about HDMI connections but the number of people having the problem cant all have wiring problems. Sounds more like a Sky issue that needs a sollution.

My screen went black on ss1 and ss5 after few mins watching on two separate TVs. I checked all equipment, connectivity etc, all perfect. Reboot the Internet etc. I saw few threads on the sky commun and was wondering what the problems were and I was hoping I didn't need new TV !!!

Yeah, same here, two different tv's. Been a Sky member for over thirty years so obviously did all the usual turning off and rebooting stuff but it still did it last night. As I say others have had the same problem so it's a Sky problem as I see it. I would hope they acknowledge it and sort it out, because ringing is a nightmare.

So it isn't just me then. I have just completed another reboot on main sky q and watched different channel with no prob. Then put on 404 and went black within few mins. This is a joke. What are sky doing about this. We need answers ASAP.

I've not been on the tv today so don't know if it's still happening. If it does it will have to be a phone call where they tell me all the stuff I've heard for thirty years. Not sure what else is available to us, but as we are definitely not the only ones it's a bit poor nothing is being said.

Yes I have, asked me to do the usual reboot and check cables etc. But I'm here now watching chan 412 and no issues.

Same issue here - I think it might be happening when I am flicking between a UHD and HD channel - when I just stay on one channel for a while it seems OK.

Mad we are all here saying same thing. And yet we have to think about changing from UHD to HD station. Ridiculous to think. So do we all miss footy,golf,NFL now. Sky need to answer and not expect super users to help. They are great but they are also customers

This issue has been ongoing since yesterday for me. Change channel to either sky sports main even or sky sports + then screen goes blank . Have to change channel then back to get picture back. It does seem like it is a wider sky issue that needs acknowledging
