    <description>&lt;P&gt;New sky box when turned on shows blue light flashing but then light quickly disappears . screen says press house when screen goes blank but nothing happens, left with a blank screen and HMD1 in top left hand corner....help please.&amp;nbsp; I followed all suggestions about turning off at wall etc. but Sky not connecting. I have tried online to order an Engineer but because I have had a replacement box not able to request Engineer?!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;First thing may I suggest you try a reset of your remote:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Press &amp;amp; Hold the 7 &amp;amp; 9 until the remote's light (red LED above the SKY logo button) flashes 4 times&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;It will then need line of sight of the SKY Q box until it is paired - see later&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Then try using the power on button or Home button&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If you do not get the Home screen but the led had changed to green then try pressing the following keys in sequence&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Home 1 0 8 0 Home&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;(agin making sure the remote has line of sight of the box)&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If you do then manage to get to the ho,me page then pair the remote&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;press 1 &amp;amp; 3 together to go through to re-pair with the box and your TV - still making sure it has line of sight of the box until it is paired&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
