Home -> Settings -> Setup -> Audio visual -> Digital audio output HDMI. You could try changing this to see if the audio improves. Is this a new TV, I.e. did it work okay previously.

Hi I have a

SAMSUNG S90D 48 inch OLED 4K HDR Smart TV - QE48S90D - I have tested all the sounds and resets on the TV standalone and it appears when I'm plugged into sky Q the sound on recordings and playbacks is really really poor and I'm having to switch my TV up to 38/ 40 on the volume side. This doesn't seem right to me , the TV works okay without sky attached to it so appears it's the skybox that's causing the problem Any ideas please?
