UHD is really only worth it if you have Sky Sports and/or TNT Sports. Marginal for Sky Cinema and very occasional Sky Arts. The size of your TV and how far away you view it from is important.

UHD is 4 times the resolution of HD.

However, most material is in HD and your TV will scale it to UHD anyway, Some TV's are better than others at this.

With a Sky UHD subscription you can access native 4k material - which, in theory, is better picture quality than upscaled HD. However, you may not notice a significant difference depending on your TV, size of TV and viewing distance.

In terms of content, there are sports channels in UHD only. The majority of the content is via download (Movies, Atlantic etc.)

TBH most HD material (even upscaled) is usually more than sufficient unless your have a massive TV (>60" say).

Importantly, you can only get HDR (google it) with UHD and in my opinion, that is an even bigger step up than the resolution increase.

but - limited content.

The quality of your TV affects how significant this is.
