Because they don't: connection is to the main Q box.

Sky broadband , Wi-Fi connection, , sky are sending new mini box, we will see if that fixes it, thanks for replying all 😀

Hi @Mh41

If you are on Sky Broadband with the the new Max fibre router then yo still need to connect to the main Q box using WPS.

I'm going to hard wire this new mini box thus avoiding any future issues, disabling Wi-Fi

it's possible hard wiring it to the router might work as long as it can still "see" the Q through that. If the Q is hardwired it'll be fine. If it's on wifi... maybe.

New Qsky mini arrived next day, impressive, hard wired it into sky router, main box also wired, disabled Wifi on mini box. All ok for 3 mins, then error message, 'cannot connect to sky box's, reboot both boxes, same thing happened , another reboot of mini and viewing lasted all evening, why was there still a connectivity issue? When will it loose connection again, so unstable, esp . Puzzlingly both boxes are wired?
